Bonjour
Welcome to One Health Osteopathy, a husband-and-wife team, now joined by Emily while Lizzie is on maternity leave.
Our small team specialise in helping patients with difficult situations who aren’t getting better very easily - to get back on track - whatever age they are! Between them, they specialise in infant feeding, and latch issues, to complex adult cases that have had pain for years!
They help people to take charge of their own healing by kicking off the process and then making sure you have the tools to make it sustainable, by taking the the time to explain and help you understand the root of the problem, why it’s there and how to solve it. They try to make difficult concepts easy to understand, without using lots of medical jargon.
Pierre Antoyé-Hayes - BSc (Hons) DO, PGCert Animals
Pierre was born and grew up in the countryside near Lyon, France. He originally came to England to train and study, but liked it so much that he decided to stay!! He graduated from the European School of Osteopathy, Maidstone in 2006 www.eso.ac.uk and is a fully qualified registered Osteopath (No:6298) and is GDPR compliant.
Today, Pierre owns and runs the Orchard Clinic www.orchardclinic.co.uk , but divides his time between two busy practices including; Thrapston and Northampton to ensure he can treat his patients across the county.
Pierre treats many conditions presented to the clinics from all ages, activities and professions (e.g. manual workers, sports people, adolescents, office workers and active older people to name a few), staying true to the osteopathic motto: “To keep you younger for longer”.
He has also been treating babies, children and pregnant mums since graduating. His approach combines various tools from very gentle to more dynamic structural techniques depending on the needs of the patient. For example, he would use cranial osteopathy for little ones and pregnant mothers, but a more dynamic treatment for a healthy but injured rugby player. He is pleased to promote an analytical approach to treatment, systematically checking the different parts of the body that are painful and tracing the problem back to where it originated, avoiding being focused solely on the area of pain.
Pierre ensures that all his patients receive a factual yet simple explanation of their situation, his assessment of the cause and an honest estimation of how long recovery is likely to take. He strongly believes in team work and cooperating with other health professionals such as GP’s and personal trainers.
In his spare time, Pierre enjoys hiking, classic cars, and motorbikes.
Pierre works in the East Hunsbury Clinic, and Thrapston, alongside working with Horses at their yards.
Lizzie Antoyé-Hayes - M.Ost, PGCert Paediatrics
Lizzie bring her gentleness, vast and fresh osteopathic and medical knowledge to the treatment room. She enjoys treating all adults and children, but specialises in under 18’s, especially newborns. She also has an extensive knowledge around pelvic health, and is trained in completing Mummy MOT’s.
Lizzie grew up in Northamptonshire and returned after completing her Masters degree at the University College of Osteopaths with Distinction in 2019. In addition, she has since completed two Postgraduate certificates in Paediatric (Child), and Animal Osteopathy, and has tutored on Paediatric Post-Graduate courses. She is one of only a few osteopaths who hold the extra Paediatric Post-Graduate qualification in Northamptonshire. This reflects her interest in treating babies and children (of any age!), which she uses a variety of treatment techniques for, including cranial, functional and structural techniques in her treatment, depending on the age and requirements of the child. Lizzie also specialises in treating pre and post-natal women, and women’s health (pelvic floor).
She works closely with several midwives, health visitors, tongue-tie practitioners, and lactation consultants. She sees a lot of babies who have been referred to her for ‘bodywork’, which is a term used by the above medical professionals to describe hands-on therapy such as osteopathy.
Before studying Osteopathy, Lizzie was a gymnastics coach which is where her interest in the human body started. Lizzie enjoys the variety and versatility that osteopathy brings, treating all ages. with no two days or treatments ever being the same!
In her spare time, Lizzie enjoys keeping active with her Husband, Pierre, and dog, Tula. You’ll also find her doing lots of dog training, keeping fit with CrossFit, and loves exploring new places to eat!
Lizzie works in the East Hunsbury and Brackmills Clinics in Northampton , and in Thrapston at the Orchard Clinic. She has previously run the paediatric clinic at Kettering Osteopaths.
Emily Freeman - M.Ost
Emily graduated with a Master's degree in Osteopathy from the European School of Osteopathy and works with patients of all ages, from newborn babies through to adults. Alongside her osteopathic training, she has completed a Level 3 qualification in Sports Massage and enjoys treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions using cranial, structural, functional and soft tissue techniques.
Emily has a particular interest in paediatric osteopathy and has spent considerable time developing her skills in this area. Having worked closely alongside Lizzie, she has received additional mentoring and training in the assessment and treatment of babies and children, including support for feeding and latching difficulties, post tongue-tie procedures, unsettledness, torticollis and general infant comfort and development. Emily uses gentle, baby-led techniques and takes time to ensure both parents and children feel comfortable throughout treatment.
As Lizzie prepares and is on her maternity leave, Emily will be taking over her patient list at One Health Osteopathy. Having already worked alongside Lizzie within our wider practice team at our sister clinic (Orchard Clinic, Thrapston) , Emily is familiar with our approach to patient care and shares the same values and treatment philosophy. For existing patients, a detailed handover will be provided where appropriate, alongside full access to clinical notes, helping to ensure continuity of care throughout Lizzie's absence.
Patients can therefore feel confident that they will continue to receive the same high standard of personalised care and attention that they have come to expect from One Health Osteopathy.
Outside of osteopathy, Emily enjoys gymnastics, having competed when she was younger, and continues her involvement in the sport by teaching gymnastics to young children.
